Shame Shame, the great silencerthat grows like cancerand makes us hide and fly under the radaror squirm and blushif we think the worldglimpses our terrible secrets. Yet, if we dare to be seenand reconnectwe may feel vulnerable and exposedbut know there will be less dark and hidden placesfor shame to hideand know that even though it was never our faultthe price we pay for our shameis a life half lived.
