I come from a small countryside town very close to Tokyo. When I draw in my house I can’t talk to anybody. So I started busking.
I’m very happy doing this because people stop and talk to me and I get to meet new people. I also I get to hear all the beautiful music. Like the violin player who busks nearby. He’s very good.
Melbourne was the first place I came to when I started busking around six years ago. I stayed for about a year. I really love it here but in winter it got a bit cold and my hands started shaking. Now I just come in spring and summer.
I make enough money from this to travel. In different countries I take photos of things on my phone that I can draw. Back in Japan I sell my art in my friend’s cafe.
