When my sister to be, Lesley, was in hospital with asthma she would visit the paediatric ward as she liked spending time with the new-born babies. That’s where she met me. I was up for adoption and I became part of her family who lived in Wadestown. I moved to Palmerston North when I was 10 to live with my “adopted” sister Julie. I was hyperactive and used to get into a bit of “trouble”. I have travelled and have had a number of jobs over the years, including working with horses. I have brain damage from all the glue sniffing which has affected my memory and made it difficult for me to keep a job. I live a “happy” life and always treat people with respect. I’m a born-again Christian and this has been a big part of my life for many years.
